Financial Advantages
Florida ranks among the best states for business and entrepreneurs because of its pro-business state tax policies and competitive cost of doing business. The state is proud of its competitive and targeted financial advantages.   Competitive Cost of Doing Business: Florida offers a cost-efficient alternative to other competitive high-tech states. Put simply, land, labor, and capital are more affordable in Florida than in California, New York, or Texas. In addition, for businesses in certain targeted industries, the state offers additional incentives.

Grow Collier
The "Grow Collier: Celebrating Collier's Existing Businesses" campaign is part of the ongoing efforts of the EDC to serve local companies.  The objectives of this campaign are as follows: Celebrate the success of local businesses and express appreciation for the contributions they make to our economy. Gather information about those businesses in order to serve them through EDC programs and services.

This medium is used to gather first-hand knowledge of the local business climate and develop ways in which this knowledge can be transferred into specific initiatives. These initiatives will help grow new enterprises and support small business expansion.   The network includes financial resources (both traditional and non-traditional), business advisors and mentors, and university partnerships for research and development pursuits.
